Testimonials

Secondary School Parent

‘I would like to share what has been an extraordinary 11-year experience as a Braeside parent.

From the very beginning, Braeside Lavington has been a source of unwavering support and excellence. Each year, the teachers and staff have shown professionalism, warmth, and genuine care – not merely educating my child academically, but nurturing confidence, curiosity, and character. I have watched my child grow into a thoughtful, socially aware, and motivated young person, ready to take on the world.

The school’s commitment to individualised attention, recognising strengths, supporting challenges, and fostering holistic growth, has made all the difference. Beyond the classroom, the vibrant cocurricular programmes’ high standards have enriched my child’s development and broadened her horizons.

Thank you for sustaining such a positive, stable, and inspiring environment throughout these 11 years. Your dedication has made not just a difference to my child’s life, but created a lasting legacy of growth, joy, and possibility.’

Primary and Secondary School Parent

‘Once my daughter had completed her KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education) in 2010, we searched for schools that offered a solid British curriculum and settled on Braeside School. Roosie loved the school, the teaching methodology, the conducive environment that focused on the learner and their abilities, and she scored A* in her IGCSEs. Later, in September 2018, our son Rickie also began his school journey in Year 1 at Braeside School.

It has been an amazing experience, and we have never regretted joining Braeside. We love the mode of teaching and the attention that the teachers pay to the students; we love the professionalism and high standards with which the school is run and managed; we like the extracurricular activities that include well-curated learning trips, clubs, and sports that enable the young learners to develop holistically. We love the teacher-pupil ratio, the structure and arrangement of the classrooms, and the fact that the teachers pay close and personal attention to each learner. We love the parent-teacher sessions where we can discuss our children’s progress both in and out of the classroom. We love the open door policy that the school management has maintained over the years, allowing parents to engage with the management and teachers. We love the high standards of discipline and zero-tolerance approach to bad behaviour, including bullying; this has given us great confidence in the safety of our children whilst at school. Throughout the many years our children have been at Braeside, not once have they come home and reported a case of bullying or mistreatment by a student or staff member.

We consider Braeside to be more than a school; it is a community where children learn and grow together.’

‘Our family has been at Braeside Lavington for the last ten years, where our three children have loved and continue to enjoy their school experience.

Braeside has given our children a wholesome academic foundation. Our children have also been exposed to a wide variety of opportunities and learning experiences, including Scouts, World Scholars, music, robotics, modern languages and sports, all of which have helped in their all-round growth and development.

The teachers are encouraging, kind and communicate well with both the parents and children. The small class numbers ensure that the teachers are alert to each child’s needs. The team at Braeside Lavington is committed to every student within their care, making me confident that our children are at the right school.’
