All students are expected to take part in at least one extra-curricular activity per week during each term. Our wide range of activities provides academic, physical and artistic opportunities in addition to the curriculum. The extra-curricular programme supports the development of the individual, their access to the current curriculum and their future prospects for study, work and as confident individuals and global citizens.
Our well-resourced classrooms are stimulating and designed to facilitate our school aims and there are extensive facilities in the school compound to provide academic, physical and artistic opportunities.
We believe that every child is an individual and as such has individual needs. When your child starts school at Braeside, they will be informally assessed by the class teacher in order for them to understand what level your child is working at; targets for improvement will then be set. If your child needs additional learning support or is very able, Braeside’s specialist Personalised Learning Department can provide support and challenge materials for your child. This extra provision is regularly monitored and updated.
At Braeside Lavington, we actively encourage an open and honest home-school partnership. Our home-school diaries, newsletters, and parents evenings help us to maintain a healthy relationship with the Braeside community.
Children at Braeside Lavington can take advantage of our extensive fleet of school buses that covers Nairobi a great part of Nairobi by an extensive and convenient route to school.
We also offer a late bus service to enable more children to participate in after-school activities.
The Braeside Lavington uniform is white and blue and uses a plaid pattern for dresses and ties.
