Overview

Since its founding in 1994, Braeside Lavington has grown steadily from an all Kenyan population to encompass over 50 nationalities.  Located on the lush grounds off Muthangari Road in the quiet residential suburb of Lavington. We are a co-educational, multicultural school providing education from Early Years Foundation Stage (age 2 years) to Sixth Form (age 17 years).

Braeside Lavington offers an international version of the National Curriculum of England. The school is structured into various sections, concentrating on specific children’s learning requirements as they develop and grow. The youngest students begin their school career in the Early Years Foundation Stage, before moving into the Primary Section, progressing on to the Middle School and finally entering the Upper School. Throughout the whole school, a warm, friendly and caring learning environment is provided in which children feel safe, supported and challenged while developing to their full academic, social, emotional and physical potential.

We are a community in which relationships between students, teachers and parents foster a supportive and collaborative environment with a focus on acknowledging achievements while significantly identifying opportunities for evolvement and improvement.

Open communication between home and school is actively encouraged at Braeside and it is integral in ensuring the ongoing success of both students and the community.

Braeside Lavington also offers a vibrant, positive culture that induces mutual respect and appreciation as principle features of our school.

Teachers in the school are qualified and enthusiastic they expose students to a broad curriculum and extensive co-curricular programme, ensuring that students explore their interests and discover their talents, creating young people who are successful and confident citizens of the world.
