4th December 2020
Dear Parent/Guardian,
I hope you are doing well. It is gratifying to be in the month of December and almost through with the first term of the school year! Undoubtedly, 2020 has been a tough year. It has been a year in which we have had to learn, work and stay extra vigilant.
I am beyond proud of the hard work and dedication I see each day from our students and staff. This year has presented many new challenges and opportunities. The perseverance and dedication our students and staff continue to show is inspiring. We continue to study and adjust as we work our way through these uncertain times.
I would like to congratulate the whole school community for the way it has navigated through the challenges of keeping safe and well throughout this COVID year. In particular, students have shown an incredible level of determination, resilience, creativity and flexibility. We do acknowledge that some students have thrived in the hybrid learning that has been a hallmark of learning; some have maintained their learning progress and a few have found it difficult. We will use 2021 to get students back on track so that they feel safe, supported and are able to reconnect with their peers, teachers and their learning.
Safety Protocols
The school has been committed to fostering a safe environment for all learners and staff. I must commend everyone for endeavouring to follow through the set guidelines on facemasks, hand sanitising, hand washing and physical distancing. Let us all continue observing the safety guidelines as we look forward to resuming life as we knew it before Covid-19.
Progress Monitoring Assessments
As you receive this newsletter, students in Year 12 and 13 will have completed their monitoring assessments, which are used to track their progress through the course. Year 11s will complete their assessment next week on Tuesday, 8th December 2020. The rest of the school continued with class tasks as the mode of assessment.
Christmas fill-a-bucket
The Student body has organised to support our local community through the holidays. As a way to accomplish this goal, they have a drive from November 30th to December 9th; students are asked to bring in non-perishable food items, clothes, books or toys to donate to a local charity.

Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful weekend!
