Braeside High School Week 4 Newsletter

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We have had a great week of remote teaching and learning with assessments in almost all subjects. We must applaud the Braestars for their resilience and great determination. They always look strong and determined as they join class one class after the other. Parents, you have been of great support this far and we appreciate you.

As you support from the background, we urge that you (our honorable) parents to do some of these proposed things on a regular basis: show interest in what the children do in class and discuss their experiences to help them see how meaningful and important learning is; help them stick to their routine - it gets easier when a routine is established and followed; agree on some rules that can guide the learning process; exploit their strength and keep them positively engaged. Students should also take time away from the screen at the end of the day by doing an activity like walking or even having a chat with other family members. We have come this far together and I am hopeful we shall emerge strong.

Student Council Elections

We have just concluded the student council elections and the following were elected to occupy various positions in the executive committee. We congratulate them for being elected to serve the rest of the school community. These Executive Committee members will join the class representatives who were elected last week to form the Braeside High School Student Council Team - The student voice.

Congratulations to the winners. For those who lost, there is always a next time.
