9th June 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I wish to take this opportunity to welcome our students back from their half term break. I hope you had a great time with them during the break.

The half term ahead has many activities lined up and I request for your support inorder for us to have a successful term and end of academic year.

IGCSE/GCE Exams

The IGCSE/GCE exams which began last month are still on. Year 11 will finish today and GCE will be done on Tuesday next week. The students have been positive during the revision and exam sessions. Let us continue encouraging them.

School Development

We have been working on the school development plan in the  recent years with governors identifying areas for making our provision even better for our learners. This year, the governors have graciously agreed to do a major renovation for our washrooms. Because of the amount of work being done, we agreed for the work to start over the last week during the half term break.

This means that the boys’ washrooms at the Main Theatre Block will remain closed for the better part of the term. We have provided alternative washrooms located at the Middle School and at the swimming pool changing room block for the boys. The girls’ washroom will be closed immediately we close school for the major renovations. We apologize for any inconveniences that may be caused.

Sixth Form Graduation

Our annual  Sixth Form Graduation will be held on Monday, 18th June 2018 at 1:00pm in the School Theatre. You are all welcome to attend this ceremony as we celebrate the successes of class of 2018.

End of Year Exams

End of Year Examinations commence on Tuesday, 12th June 2018 for Year 10 and the week after for Year 7, 8 and 9. We wish the students the very best as they prepare for the Examination.

Work Experience

Year 10 and Year 12 students will be spending a week out of class in various work placements as part of our curriculum. Year 10 and 12 parents are requested to ensure that their child(ren) has/have a work placement. Year 12’s start on Monday, 11th June 2018 and Year 10’s start on 25th June 2018.
