26th November 2021
This term, we have focused on Goals 2 and 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Goal 2 aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture by 2030. The triple burden of malnutrition – undernutrition, hidden hunger and overweight – threatens the survival, growth and development of children and young people. Well-nourished children are better able to grow and learn, to participate in their communities and to be resilient in the face of disease, disaster and other emergencies. To show you care for someone is to lend a happy hand.
On Friday, 26th November 2021, Braestars dressed to impress in the SDG colors and paid a fee towards supporting CITAM children Center. We also took time to review the Second Goal, Zero hunger, and how we can play a role at our early age; one of them being the importance of taking care of plants. We are excited that the donations will help another school build a garden that they too can enjoy.
