Creche Trip to Mlango Farm, Limuru

17th June 2022

Creche trip to Mlango Farm brought lots of excitement. The children talked about what they saw on our way to the farm using vast vocabulary including a railway line, farm, animals, bumpy, tea, hills, cold, foggy, muddy, farmer, tractor, lorry, digger, matatu, ants, plants, flowers, garden, vegetables, feed, shade, steep and tired.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a tour around the farm. Our first stop was in the ‘Shamba,’ which had a variety of plants namely cauliflower, elephant kale, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, beetroot, turnip, pumpkin, celery, coriander, brinjal, rosemary, sage and basil.

Thereafter, the children had an opportunity to feed cows, horses, rabbits, goats, donkeys, dik dik, turkey and geese. What an adventurous trip it was!
