Foundation Stage 1 Bike Riding Week

28th January 2022

There is a special bond between children and bikes that can never be broken. This week, FS1 children were thrilled to bring in their three-wheelers, striders, bicycles and scooters that were perfect for them as they tested their newfound motor skills.

Riding a bike is a passport to world’s beyond the front lawn. Bikes represent fun, freedom, risk taking, testing ideas, independence, confidence and responsibility. Moreover, biking is a healthy pastime that kids will never outgrow.

Below are samples of what some of the children had to say;

I enjoyed riding my bike and rung the bell on my bike. Nnamdi

I liked the time I was racing and enjoyed when we took a water break and rested. Mwangi

I liked riding my bike going up and down the steps. John

I had so much fun; I raced so nicely with my bike. Waridi

I loved the bike week because I was able to put my feet down and peddle. We went in a circle with my friends. Arianna

I enjoyed doing many races with my friends and I won. Imani

I loved bike week because we did it every day. Major
