Foundation Stage 1 Week 5 Newsletter: Term 2

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Home, sweet animal home. Monkeys swing free high up in the tree, Lions like resting in their dens. We live in houses next to our neighbours and play in the garden with our friends.

This week in Foundation Stage 1, we focused on the story, ‘walking through the Jungle.’ The Children identified various animals that are found in the jungle and described the different patterns they have on their skin which help them blend into their surroundings. We also used our bodies to stomp, slither and jump like the various animals.

The highlight of the week was eco maths. Through this, we explored number language, shapes, size and measure using various natural materials.
