Foundation Stage 2 Week 11 Newsletter:Term 2

20th March 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,

‘What makes you different, makes you beautiful’.

This week, the FS2 children went Around the World with Max and Lemon to find out if she is unique. As she travels to a mountain, a desert, a jungle, the Arctic and to the ocean faraway, can she find anyone the same as her? The children discovered that they are different. They like different things have different hobbies, hairstyles and languages...but the most important thing is the love and respect they share for one another.

During the week, we also looked at;

1) Tricky words – one, little, want, they.

2) Reading and writing simple captions using tricky words.

3) Estimating and counting.

On Friday 19th, we marked World Down Syndrome Day whose theme was Accommodate Difference, with the slogan, Celebrating Diversity.

The children dressed up in mismatched socks in celebration of the same.
