Year 7 and 8 Community Service

Students in Year 7 and 8 will on Monday and Tuesday respectively, visit charitable organisations to donate unclaimed items that have been in our lost property. Items to be given out have been in the store from 2016 to 2018.

Return of Text Books

The Year 7’s are expected to return textbooks on Tuesday, 2nd July 2019 while Year 8’s are to return on Monday, 1st July 2019.

Prize Presentation

At the end of every year we celebrate the students who have achieved in various fields in the school, from sport to academics. This year’s event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 4th July 2019. All are welcome.

Year 10 Work Experience

The Year 10 Work Experience program was a great success again this year. The comments from employers were, on the whole, very good. I would like to thank all the employers for playing hosts to our students and for their feedback on the progress of our students.

Many thanks to the parents for facilitating the students during the week, the students for their excellent behavior and their teachers for visiting the many workplaces.

This week, we also welcomed back the Year 12 students after a successful five days of work experience program and the beginning of their work on the Year 13 syllabus. The students had a wonderful experience in the different organizations they were stationed.

From the Sports Desk

The U13 Boys Rugby participated in the Pembroke Ndume 7s on Saturday, 22nd June 2019. The team put up a spirited fight during their pool matches. They managed to finish 4th in their pool. A special mention to Lincoln K. Year 7S and Yaseen W. Year 8K for displaying excellent performance during the tournament.

This weekend, the U13 Boys Rugby and Netball girls will participate in the KAISSO tournament at Braeburn Garden Estate. We wish the team success.

I wish to remind Parents and Guardians that teaching and learning continues until end of term. No student is expected to be away from school in the name of ‘we have finished exams!’

Have a good weekend.

Regards,

Mr. Leonard Mwendwa
