High School Week 11 Newsletter

23rd March 2019

Dear Parent/Guardian,

‘‘Put your heart, mind, intellect and soul even to your smallest acts. This is the secret of success’’. Swami Sivananda

As week 11 draws it’s curtains closed, I realised that Braestars work with this mantra at heart as was evident in their activities.

This day was marked with recitations of poetry at the reception foyer early in the morning before registration, at break time and at lunch time. The students show cased great talent through rendition of poems in various languages namely English, French, German, Swahili and even Japanese. I hope next time there will be more languages exhibited for as we all know poetry is indeed a brief, terse and pithy representation of life. A kaleidoscope of issues that affect society in general was well brought out by the passionate voices of students and teachers. A guest poet joined the KS3 students in the theatre.

‘‘It was an excellent showcasing of poetry in the school and the guest was on point’’. Gift B. Year 8C
