International Day of Education

The International Day of Education is celebrated every year on January 24th. This year marks the fourth year of celebration and the theme was ‘Changing Course, Transforming Education'.
Braestars engaged in various activities throughout the day to celebrate the pivotal role that education plays in creating peace, development and ensuring that the world continues to become a better and safer place.
Ms. Emily facilitated the assemblies this week from Turning Point Organization that runs a school in Kibera. The children learnt more about the differences in education, why some children their age do not go to school and the overall importance of a quality education.
