Newsletter Week 2: Year 1
11th September 2021
We are happy to report that the children have settled into their new class routine. We completed Phonics assessment and used the data to assign the children to their Phonics Sets. The children will begin attending Phonics lessons from Tuesday, 14th September 2021.
What did we learn this week?
The children identified 2D shapes and described their properties. We also read the story of ‘The Gruffalo’. Children discussed the characters and wrote sentences describing the physical features of the ‘Gruffalo’. They also learnt about the main human body parts.
