Out in the Woods

3rd February 2026

Our Year 1 Braestars visited Karura Forest recently and had fun exploring the beautiful and green environment. Located in the northern part of Nairobi, Karura Forest is one of the city's most popular attractions, and also one of the largest urban gazetted forests in the world. On its grounds, you will not only find stunning, verdant nature, but also hiking and cycling trails, archaeological sites, caves and diverse wildlife.

Braestars learned about Wangari Maathai’s remarkable contribution to environmental conservation and her unwavering dedication to protecting Karura Forest. They also enjoyed a refreshing nature walk, deepening their appreciation for nature.
