Primary School Week 1 Newsletter

27th April 2019

Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends of Braeside School

Welcome Back!

It is delightful to have majority of Braestars back after a restful two week’s break. This term is packed with exciting learning and extra-curricular activities.

A special welcome to the new families that have joined the Braeside Family. Karibuni sana!

Key Habit

This half of the term’s Habit 5 (from the 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey) was launched during the whole school assembly yesterday. Discussions will be ongoing during consequent assemblies as well as in the classes. Our classroom doors are already spotting creative ideas that represent Braestars’ interpretation of this habit.

Your support in reviewing the same will have a positive impact on its consolidation.

Wow Moments

Towards the close of last term, we started urging Braestars to be on the lookout for the Wow Moments that they experience in and out of school. This is in a bid to inculcate a sense of wonder and appreciation for the exciting opportunities that life has to offer.  Join us in taking a pause and celebrating such moments as and when they arise.

I hope to share with you some of Braestars’ Wow Moments in future newsletters.

Dinky Charge

As communicated at the close of last term, we are holding a Dinky Charge on 3rd May 2019 so as to raise money in support of Rhino Ark. Braestars willing to participate in the charge will require to hand in their dinky and the sponsorship form by Tuesday, 28th April 2019.

Wishing you a magnanimous weekend ahead!
