The International Day of Peace: World Peace Day

24th September 2023

We marked the above United Nations-sanctioned day on Thursday, 21st September.

Braestars engaged in various acts of peace such as smiling at 25 people from a different year group, learning to say ‘peace’ in 5 languages, saying ‘Good Morning’ to 25 people from a different year group, complimenting 5 people, playing collaborative games, extending hugs to friends and family.

Celebrating the World Peace Day also supported our observance of SDG 16.

In addition, during the assemblies, we reinforced the topic of peace. It was exciting to hear Braestars translate the word peace into different languages during the whole school assembly.

Year 3Y staged an exciting skit based on the book Sally The Stone by Sally Schnarr which emphasised the values of kindness, sharing and friendship.
