Dear Parent/Guardian,
As we begin the assessment week, we take stock of the many opportunities students have had to excel in their learning this year. I would like to take this chance to thank you for your support in helping to prepare the students.
Year 6 Taster Days
This week we played host to the lovely group of Year Six students in the Middle School section. To say they had fun is an understatement; they had a lot of fun. They had a chance to peek into the Middle School experience. Here are some comments from the students:
"My experience in middle school was very interesting. I have enjoyed getting to know most of the teachers. Going from class to class was exciting. The one thing I wished we had was a longer break time but other than that, it was fantastic. I loved my experience!" Mikayla D. Year 6R
"It was fun and not at all boring. I wanted to keep on going with it but sooner than later taster days had to end." Zenani M. Year 6Y
"At first, when I came to school I was so scared and nervous and then when we went for the Science lesson, I got used to everything." Bianca O. Year 6G
"My experience was amazing because I had lots of fun. In Computer Science, we opened up a computer and in the Drama lesson, we all acted out small scripts. I was a scientist in Science and in swimming we played waterpolo." Nathan P. Year 6R
"Middle School was fun and exciting for me because I learned and experienced new things." Maria K. Year 6G
"My experience in Year 7 was great. All the teachers were extremely kind and nice. It was amazing exploring the insides of a computer, using acids and bases and acting in front of my friends. I had a really great time and I hope to have more time in September." Joy M. Year 6R
End of Year Examinations
On Monday this week, the Year 10 students kicked off the end of year examinations followed by the rest of the school on Thursday. Here is what some of the students had to say:
"The exams have been good so far. I have been revising using past papers." Erick A. Year 10K
"Exams become easier when you prepare well." Randall G. Year 10K
"The exams go on well especially when you have properly revised." Zyaan R. Year 10C
"The exam was a bit tough but thankfully, I had revised beforehand so it only took a couple of minutes before things clicked." Wanjiku W. Year 10N
We wish them all the best as they revise and sit for the examinations.
Have a nice weekend.
Regards,
Mr. Leonard Mwendwa
