Year 1 Newsletter Week 1

We are glad to start off this new academic year with you. We look forward to an exciting time of partnership. The Braestars are excited to be in primary school which they all refer to as the ‘Big School’. We started off by assessing the children’s skills in Phonics and Mathematics.

Next week, we shall begin sharing readers. Kindly read with your child and sign the reading log that will come in the pack.

To note:

• We have assigned a homework worksheet ‘All About Me Selfie Writing’. Kindly ensure your child hands it in on Monday 6/9/2021.
• Kindly pack a packet of coloured pencils and playdough for your child to use.
• Ensure that your child’s uniform and all other items brought to school are clearly labelled.

The annual Parents-Teachers meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 9th September 2021 at 4:00pm.
