Year 1 Treasure Map Morning

Year 1 Braestars had a fun Treasure Map Morning. They drew treasure maps to lead their friends to the hidden treasure. Where is it? Is it behind the trees? Is it hidden in the water? Is it buried in the sandpit? Is it under the bench? Is it under the pile of leaves?
They learnt map reading skills and new geographical vocabulary . They also drew maps and hid treasure in the big field, sandpit and in water troughs. Finally they used the maps to find the hidden treasure. They also enjoyed pretending to be robots and using directional words to give instructions to a partner.
