Year 1 Week 10 Newsletter

14th November 2020

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This has been an exciting week of exploring different concepts of learning. As we looked at the story of the Rainbow Fish, children created beautiful fish crafts and also learned about sharing and being kind.

Most children have completed their Humanities and Science assignments. We encourage those who haven’t, to continue working on them and submit them to enable us continue with assessments.

This week we focused on; Odd and Even numbers, Rainbow Fish, Fish, Introduction to Occupations, Exercise and Diwali.

Next week we shall have our annual Kiswahili week whose theme is "NAITAMBUA LUGHA YANGU."

Children will be required to write short Kiswahili poems. The Kiswahili teacher will guide them on this.

Do you know some Swahili foods? How do the Swahili people dress?

On Thursday, we are encouraged to attend our morning registration accessorized in some Swahili clothing items e.g. leso/kikoi etc. which shall culminate into a photo session.

Have a lovely weekend! From the Year 1 Team.
