Year 1 Week 11 Newsletter:Term 2

Dear Parent/Guardian,
This week, the children did end of term tests in Math and English. They are slowly getting the hang of tests and most were able to follow the instructions given.
In our learning journey this week, we reviewed counting in 2s and 5s; discussed features of spring, learnt a new song and used cards to create our own objects. We continue to learn new sounds and apply them in our writing.
The week’s highlight was observing World Down Syndrome Day on Friday 19th . We listened to a story, ‘It’s Okay to be Different’ and did some follow up activities.
We had fun walking around displaying our mismatched and odd coloured socks. Thank you for your support.
