Year 1 Week 12 Newsletter:Term 2

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Week twelve has gone by fast. We had a fantastic ‘inside out’ dress day. Children and teachers alike wore their clothes inside out and had fun doing opposite activities. The day culminated in a show and dance celebration at the school theatre. We look forward to other themed days ahead.
Other areas of focus were;
- Using conjunction ‘and’
- Position and direction
- Different places of worship
- Features of winter and spring
In English, children have been encouraged to write longer sentences whilst checking on spellings and punctuation.
We continue to learn new sounds as well as alternative pronunciation of different digraphs.
