Year 1 Week 3 Newsletter

25th September 2020

Another exciting week has come to an end. The learning process has gone on smoothly and we applaud braestars for showing enthusiasm and gaining more confidence day by day.

We are pleased to note that most children have been carrying out their tasks promptly especially in Math and English. We would however like to emphasize the importance of doing all tasks in all subject areas in order to enrich your child’s learning progress in all curriculum areas.

Our learning journey this week focused on,

  • 1 number more and 1 number less
  • The Gruffalo story (character description)
  • Mammals
  • My star qualities
  • Old/new toys

We also learned new graphemes and used them to make words and sentences.

During assembly, we reviewed the rules of online learning below;

  • Arrive for lessons on time
  • Mute yourself
  • Raise your hand to speak
  • Come to class ready
  • Ensure you are sitting in the right position
  • Keep your video on
  • Concentrate and listen carefully to the teacher
  • Do not eat in class
