Year 1 Week 4 Newsletter

3rd October 2020

Week four has come to a fruitful end as children continue to enjoy learning. As we progress on to reading more words and different books, children have begun to become accustomed to ‘the title, author and book characters’. Focusing on the story of ‘Zog’ this week was exciting and adventurous as children got to do various activities.

Our learning journey this week included;

  • Addition
  • Zog story
  • Reptiles
  • Courage
  • Fruits/vegetables
  • Old/new toys

Next week we look forward to an exciting English week whose focus will be folktales from around the world. Our year group will be looking at folktales from India. We look forward to storytelling, dramatising, making props and enjoying the folktales.

During assembly, we had one of our newly elected prefects Ronav C., give us tips on online safety. Well done Ronav.

Congratulations to all boys and girls in KS2 who were elected prefects last week.

We are truly grateful for your continued support and partnership in your child’s learning journey.

Have a great weekend,

Year 1 Team.
