Year 1 Week 5 Newsletter

9th October 2020

We have come to the end of a very exciting English week. On Monday, children were introduced to the theme of the week by Kirti Danwar, Nikita’s mum, who shared a story and a song about India. A big thank you for

taking us through that lively session.

Throughout the week, we focused on the story of the ‘Tiger child’ which is an Indian Folktale. Children made props and costumes which they used to dramatize the story on Thursday.

We are very excited and proud of our budding actors and actresses who ably brought the story to life! Bravo Braestars!

The week culminated in a colourful assembly where children and teachers donned in a variety of Indian outfits. We shared many facts about India and also danced to Indian music.

Thank you so much for your support that made the English week a great success.

In other areas of learning we focused on;

  • Fractions
  • Senses
  • Honesty
  • Fruits and vegetables
