Year 1 Week 8 Newsletter:Term 2

27th February 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome back to the second half of the term. Children were excited to be back and proudly presented their ‘homes’ projects. A big thank you to all parents who took time with their little ones to make the homes. We are proud of you. Below are sample explanations of how some of the houses were made.

I made my house with cardboard and then I decorated it. I rolled a cardboard piece and made a chimney. Then I made a gate and the doors and the window. Imani K.

I made my house out of cardboard. I made a roof, a bed in the bedroom. My mum helped me cut out the stairs and then I made a seat in the sitting room and then I made two tables. Yukabeth A.

I made my house out of cardboard and stuck the roof with double sided tape. I put a little door and cut out the windows completely. My mum and brother helped me. Aman K.

My house is a castle. It has 4 windows, 1 door, 8 corners and I coloured it rainbow. My dad helped me make it.

Daniel Z.

I made my house out of cardboard. I put paper around it and then I made a door. I put an x on the door for protecting it. I also used foil. Kahara K.

I used cardboard and foil and painted it. I cut out the door and used foil for the light. Austin K.

I made my house with my mum. I used cold glue with a little tape. I painted it red, green and yellow. Ali M.

The spelling list shall be posted on Google classroom and weekend Math activity on Education City.

Have a lovely weekend!
