Year 2 Week 1 Newsletter
4th September 2021
Welcome back to another year of learning. We trust that you had a relaxing holiday with your children who have shown up every day since we opened school ready to learn new things in Year 2. We extend an especially warm welcome to the new faces that have joined Braeside in Year 2. We look forward to a great year of child-parent-teacher partnership. We are certain our time in school will be filled with fun, new friends, amazing discoveries and successful learning experiences for each child.
Announcements
Annual Parents and Teachers Meeting
The annual Parents and Teachers meeting will be on Thursday, 9th September 2021 at 4:00pm.
Assessments
The children completed assessments in Phonics, Mathematics, Reading and SPaG. The outcome of each child’s result will inform our planning for teaching and learning.
Labelling of Child’s Personal Items
Kindly label your child’s uniform, stationery and water bottles for ease of identification in case any of the items are misplaced.
Students’ Planner
Each child has received a planner. Kindly remind your child to carry it to school every day.
Happy Birthday
On the 1st day of this new month, we celebrated the birthday of Lexi B. May her 7th year be crowned with goodness, beautiful experiences and many treasured moments that she will enjoy.
Annual Theme
This year, our focus as a school is on the SDGs-Sustainable Development Goals. In due course, we shall be sharing details of the Year Group Project that the children will engage in as they explore the term’s target which is Zero Hunger.
