Year 2 Week 5 Newsletter:Term 2

Dear Parent/Guardian,

It has truly been an interesting week as we marked our “Mathletics week”. Some of the activities we engaged in were as follows:

  • Identifying 3-D shapes such as cubes, cuboids, square-based pyramids, triangular prisms, spheres and cones in pictures and in real life.
  • Discovering how 2-D nets can be folded up to make 3-D shapes.
  • Creating an item using 3-D recyclable materials such as tins, boxes, tissue rolls, balls, bottles and packets.

Curriculum matters next week

  • Maths, English, and Science: End of unit assessment
  • Geography: Role of men and women in Maasai community
