Year 3 Newsletter Week 2
11th September 2021
Week 2 has seen us delve into various exciting learning activities. A copy of the timetable has been pasted in the student planner. Kindly take note of changes in games and swimming lessons.
Curriculum coverage for this week included;
English: Reading ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ by Roald Dahl, Parts of Speech and Character description.
Mathematics: Place Value of 2 and 3 digit numbers, partitioning of 2 and 3 digit numbers, ordering numbers from 0 to 1000, reading and writing numbers in words.
Science: Food groups
Geography: Examples of technology in my local area.
History: Chronology and Introduction to Prehistoric Britain.
Things to note:
- Accept Google classroom invite for your child to access work assigned therein.
- A spelling list will be posted on Google classroom every Friday. Children are expected to practice their spellings and do a spelling quiz the following Friday.
- For those who haven’t yet covered their books, please make arrangements to do so by Monday next week.
- Next week we shall hold elections for the student council. Children interested in vying are encouraged to create posters and bring them to school on Monday.
- Plan to attend the scheduled Parents Meeting on Monday 13th September 2021 at 4.00pm.
