Year 3 Week 6 Newsletter

17th October 2020

The first half of the term comes to a close today. Most of the children have made good progress in achieving targets that were set out for them in the different subjects. We commend the Braestars for being resilient in the learning process. They have attended lessons regularly and posted their work in the various Google Classrooms for the teachers to look at and share any feedback with them. We appreciate our parents’ support and the shared feedback which has been useful in planning for the children.

The well-deserved half term break begins on Monday, 19th October 2020. School resumes on Tuesday, 3rd November 2020. We encourage the children to take some time off the screen to relax and refresh themselves for the second half of the term.

Announcements

Projects

Children have received instructions on the Project-Based Learning tasks in Geography, History and Science.

During half term, we encourage the children to spend enough time planning and recording the steps for each topic they are working on in the different subjects. They may receive some assistance in collecting any material they would like to use or suggestions on how to do the task. However, we expect that the finished product that will be submitted for assessment will be the child’s actual work. Timelines for each subject are well highlighted.

Homework

In addition to the projects, the children are encouraged to complete any pending work that has not been submitted in Google Classroom during the break.

Braestars of the Week

We commend the following children for their notable improvement and consistency in:

  • Being punctual for lessons.
  • Listening to instructions.
  • Remaining on task during lessons.
  • Submitting most tasks on time.
