16th October 2024
On the 9th of October, Year 4 Braestars went on an exciting educational trip to the Meteorological Centre. This trip was part of the Geography curriculum, aimed at helping the students understand how weather patterns are monitored and studied.
During the visit, Braestars met meteorologists who explained their work and the importance of weather forecasting. They learnt about various instruments used to measure weather conditions such as thermometers, barometers and anemometers. The hands-on activities and demonstrations were the highlight of the trip, allowing students to explore how different weather instruments work. This interactive experience made complex topics more relatable and fun for the students.
Overall, the trip was a great success. The Braestars returned to school with a deeper understanding of meteorology and a newfound interest in how weather affects our daily lives. It sparked their curiosity and inspired further discussions in class about the role of weather in our world.
