Year 5 Week 4 Newsletter

Year 5 Weekly Sneak Peek

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Next week is our English Week whose theme is Around the World in Five Days'. Children will be focusing on the folktale from Canada, ‘The Children with One Eye.’ We aim to explore folktales as a way of developing reading and writing skills, and inculcating an appreciation of the various writing techniques. We welcome you to take part or support your child by listening to them as they read or by modelling reading etc.

English Week Breakfast on Monday 5th October 2020

Students and teachers will have breakfast together during registration as they talk about the theme and their country of focus, ‘Canada’.

Curriculum coverage

In science this week, pupils have been exploring the life cycles of the different classes of animals.
