13th February 2021
Dear Parent/Guardian,
We have come to the end of the first half of term two. We wish to thank you all for supporting us in all the events that have taken place so far.
Mid-term Tests
We have finished the above tests. All the results will be ready after the mid-term break.
For revision, kindly ask your child to check in their education city, Corbett maths (5-a-day), Myimaths and google classroom accounts.
Achievements
Our very own Marie O. wrote and published a book titled, ‘Just Like a Dream Covid-19 changed life.’ She will be talking to us about her book on Friday, 24th February 2021. To support her, kindly give your child Ksh. 200 to purchase a copy of the book.
Here is what she had to say:
“ Writing my book was a great experience although it was challenging. I had to remember all the good events while I was in a bad situation. Always be positive and try to forget all the bad things. That is how I managed to finish my book.”
Our young scientists Kairu and Frank made a windmill using recycled materials. This was in the quest to conserve the environment through innovation. They applied their knowledge of electric circuits, design and technology as well as mathematics.
This is what they said:
“We made our windmill using an empty milk carton, old markers, wires, a motor and a switch. There were some complications during the process but we did not give up.”
Science Experiential learning
We had a chance to design and create our own animal species and egg landers using the knowledge of adaptations. We tried out our egg landers to see whose egg would survive. This was a fun experience that we all enjoyed.
